Mace, Alinea and ISG among the winners
Mace, ISG and Alinea were among the big winners at last night’s ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø Awards.
ISG chief executive Paul Cossell was crowned the CEO of the Year, while Mace once again claimed the top gong for main contractors.
Cossell was recognised for his contribution to the construction industry, among a multitude of winners at the industry’s biggest celebration of the year.
Hosted by Scottish comedian Kevin Bridges, the ceremony was held at the Grosvenor House hotel on London’s Park Lane and was attended by the UK’s leading construction firms.
The night also included entertainment from Irish freestyle rapper and comedian Abandoman and music from the Brass Funleys.
Mace picked up the Major Contractor prize for firms with a turnover of more than £300m, with CField Construction winning the award for contractors under £300m. Mace also claimed BIM & Digital Initiative of the Year for its strategic design for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation.
The award for Project of the Year was won by Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Alinea bagged the prize for Construction Consultant/Surveyor (for firms with over 100 staff) in its first year in the category, with Plan A Consultants coming out on top for those employing fewer than 100 people.
The Female Leadership award was presented to Farrells’ partner Shevaughn Rieck, while Heatherwick’s Vessel in New York won the International Project of the Year.
Scape Group chief executive Mark Robinson was named ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø Magazine Personality of the Year.
