Architect appears on list for first time but wealth dwarved by other construction multi-millionaires
Zaha Hadid has made her first appearance in the Sunday Times Rich List, ranked in the top 2,000 wealthiest people in Britain with a fortune estimated at 拢37m.
Hadid owns both Zaha Hadid holdings, her practice valued at 拢30m, and Zaha Hadid Design, estimated at 拢5m.
The paper also adds 拢2m on top of this in past salaries and dividends.
Other construction figures in the list included the brothers Sir Fraser and Gordon Morrison, who saw their wealth decline from 拢85m to 拢78m after Sir Fraser had to put 拢8m into his architecture practice RMJM to ease cashflow problems.
Shwan Al-Mulla, a London based Iraqi Kurd heavily involved in the construction work rebuilding Iraq, was the richest construction figure with 拢500m, putting him 151st on the list.
The wealth of Steve Morgan, chairman of housebuilder Redrow, was at 拢400m, 拢50m more than last year.
Stef Stefanou, Doyle Group chairman, also saw his fortune rise 拢15m to 拢140m.
