Name change marks final step towards a single integrated service
Consultant URS Scott Wilson has shed the Scott Wilson name, rebranding itself as URS 16 months after buying the firm.
The firm said that the name change was a final step in integrating the two businesses since Scott Wilson was acquired by URS in September 2010 and would allow it to present an integrated global brand.
Hugh Blackwood, URS senior vice president International Operations, said: 鈥淭ogether, we have a larger global footprint and the ability to meet our clients鈥 needs across a wider range of services and sectors.
鈥淲e recognise the benefits of having a consistent brand across the company鈥檚 operations and the single URS brand will allow us to take advantage of the strength and reputation of URS Corporation, one of the world鈥檚 leading service providers.鈥
In some regions, including India and China, the change will be phased in slowly because of brand exposure.
