Skanska, Daletech and the ODA accused of unfair blacklisting
Contractors working on the Olympics have denied using a blacklist of workers after sacked workers and unions staged a protest outside the Olympic park.
About 30 anti-blacklist campaigners demonstrated at one of the main entrances to the site on Tuesday.
The protesters were supporting sacked electrician Frank Morris who claims he was let go by M&E specialist Daletech after raising concerns about the dismissal of a fellow worker.
Morris claims his former colleague was sacked fromthe Media Centre, where the main contractor is Skanska, after being blacklisted because he previously held a union activist role.
Morris then moved to another Daletech job at Belmarsh Prison before he was sacked.
A spokesperson for Daletech said: 鈥淒aletech take this accusation very seriously and categorically deny the use of blacklists within our business.鈥
A Skanska spokesperson said: 鈥淲e are not involved in the use of blacklists on these or any of our operations.鈥
An ODA spokesperson said: 鈥淲e have positive relations with unions on the Olympic park, including a site-wide agreement on minimum pay, health and safety and union recognition and are not aware of any blacklisting on the Olympic park.鈥
