Morgan Sindall has won a £30m contract to build a Bennetts Associates-designed office building for Derwent London
Morgan Sindall has won a contract, worth around £30m, to deliver a new commercial development in central London.
The Bennetts Associates-designed project for developers Derwent London, includes the demolition of the existing buildings at 40-45 Chancery Lane and the design and construction of a seven-storey office building, which will provide 102,000 sq ft net of premium Grade A office space with retail at ground floor.
Work has already started on site to demolish the existing buildings and retain one façade and the development is due to be completed in September 2014.
The project team includes quantity surveyor, Davis Langdon, services engineers, ARUP, structural engineers, AKTII and architect Bennetts Associates.
Morgan Sindall has also recently secured a contract to transform the former Pathé headquarters on Wardour Street in Soho as part of a major office refurbishment for LGP.
