The Royal Institute of British Architects is presenting another season of International Dialogues: Architecture and Climate Change talks, sponsored by Gleeds.
This season begins with a talk on vernacular architecture by Professor Paul Oliver and is followed by a private view of the Djenne exhibition at the RIBA, exploring the community and architectural traditions of the Djenne mud-builders.
Francis K茅r茅 joins us to talk about designing buildings to suit climatic needs, including for his home country of Burkina Faso and C. Anjalendran will be discussing his visionary projects in Sri Lanka, such as the SOS Children鈥檚 Village orphanages made from cheap, locally sourced material.
Finally, Professor John Schellnhuber and Dr Rajendra Pachauri (availability dependent) from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) will discuss the future international agenda for climate change.
