New sports hall is second contract for client in a year
Galliford Try has sealed a £31.7m contract to build a new sports park for Durham university.
The £3bn turnover contractor will refurbish and redevelop existing sports facilities at city’s the Maiden Castle grounds, as well as construct a whole new sports complex (pictured).
The new centre will feature an indoor cricket hall, a 12 court multi-use sports hall, a martial arts gym, a fitness suite and a high-performance weights room.
This is the second contract the firm has taken with the university in recent months, after signing a £40m deal to build a learning and education centre last December.
