Peter Rogers will head up task force examing social housing in the capital
London Mayor, Boris Johnson has appointed a new task force to address the capital鈥檚 housing needs following the cuts announced in last month鈥檚 comprehensive spending review.
The group will be chaired by Sir Peter Rogers, chief executive of the London Development Agency, and will focus on securing major regeneration schemes and attracting institutional investors.
Johnson said: 鈥淲e all accept that we need to pull our belts in during these difficult times but it is essential we keep delivering homes in London, where supply is so desperately short and demand so high. I want to make sure we are doing all we can to make the best use of the capital鈥檚 valuable land assets, so that all Londoners can have a decent home.鈥
