Deal will last five years
WSP has won a slot on Birmingham airport’s 10-year engineering framework with a view to providing a range of services over the next five years.
The firm, which recently bought US consultant Louis Berger, secured the contract to work in areas including building services, civil, airfield and fire engineering, as well as environmental services.
WSP is currently working on redevelopment programmes at a number of other UK airports, including Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, as well as hubs overseas such as La Guardia in New York and Taoyuan International airport in Taiwan.
Birmingham airport saw nearly 13 million passengers pass through its terminals last year.
