Facility will include a 10-lane pool and 200-station gym
Wates has been appointed by the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead to build a new leisure centre in Maidenhead.
The £32.8m Braywick Leisure Centre, which was procured via the Scape National Construction framework, will replace the Magnet Leisure Centre in Braywick Park.
The new facility will include a 10-lane swimming pool, larger training and splash pools, a gym, four squash courts, a larger sports hall, improved accessibility for disabled users and sports teams, and 500 car parking spaces.
The new centre has been designed by architect Burke Rickhards.
The new centre is expected to open at the end of 2019, with the Magnet Leisure Centre remaining open until its replacement’s completion.
