An agricultural college in Kent gets a Passivhaus certified teaching facility
A new teaching and visitors centre at Hadlow College in Kent has become the first certified Passivhaus education building in the UK.
The 345 m2 facility has been designed and constructed by Sussex-based Eurobuild, who specialise in Passivhaus and low energy buildings.
It uses timber panel construction and achieves an airtightness of 0.34m3/h/m2.
The facility includes teaching and exhibition spaces and will open later this year.
