Turnover and profit at electrical contractor T Clarke fell in the six months to 30 June but its order book rose by a third
The 2012 Olympic stadium electrical contractor鈥檚 turnover was down 8%, from 拢93.2m to 拢85.7m, while pre-tax profit fell by almost a quarter from 拢4m to 拢3.2m. Its order book expanded from 拢170m in 2009 to 拢220m this year.
Mark Lawrence, chief executive, said: 鈥淚 am pleased to report that the group has maintained its market share in the period and has secured some of the most significant projects available despite a continuing tough and challenging environment.鈥�
Last week the company bought 拢7.7m-turnover contractor DG Robson Mechanical Services for 拢6.15m.
