Bovis Lendlease, Galliford Try Construction and Willmott Dixon have been shortlisted for the 拢300m 黑洞社区 Schools for the Future programme in Wandsworth, south-west London.

The contract involves work to rebuild and refurbish all 16 secondary and secondary special schools in the borough. It will also include 拢22m of ICT investment.

The three contractors will enter a 鈥榗ompetitive dialogue鈥� with the council and schools.

Two of the shortlisted bidders will progress to the next phase of tendering in February 2010, producing plans for investment in the two sample schools, Southfields Community College and Burntwood School, and ICT investment across all the schools.

The sample schools will be the first to be transformed under the programme, and outline planning permission for both has already been granted.

A new Catholic secondary school, Saint John Bosco, will also be built as part of the project and Elliott School in Putney will be completely remodelled.

The selected partner is expected to be confirmed in September 2010.
