Thirty-six suppliers named for four-year framework worth up to 拢500m in potential work

Transport for London (TfL) has re-let its Engineering and Project Management Framework, worth up to 拢500m in potential contracts.

After a competitive tendering process, TfL today named the 36 suppliers, across 11 categories, selected to take part in the retendered framework, which will remain in place for the next four years.

They include most of the major UK engineering firms, such as Aecom, Atkins, Balfour Beatty and Buro Happold.

As well as TfL, the framework will be open to other bodies within the Greater London Authority, London boroughs, and the Metropolitan police. If all those eligible participate, the total value of the framework could be worth up to 拢500m.

Andrew Quincey, director of procurement for TfL, said: "The mayor and TfL are spending billions to upgrade the Tube, build Crossrail and to extend the DLR and London Overground. These massive infrastructure projects require a range of specialist engineering and project management skills.

鈥淭he nature of these projects means that we sometimes need short term, specialist skills to compliment TfL's own teams and we are determined to secure these in the most cost effective way.鈥
