Swedish contractor starts work on its first housing scheme in the UK, an estate of Scandinavian-style homes in Cambridge,
Skanska has revealed design details of its first homes being built in the UK. The 70 family homes and 58 apartment in Cambridge are influenced by contemporary Scandinavian housing according to architect Formation.
The homes at Great Kneighton near Clay Farm will feature timber flooring, second floor roof terraces and double-aspect windows in the first floor living space.
The homes are built to Code Level 4 standard and feature solar thermal and photovoltaic cells. One home will be a prototype Code Level 5 home built to Passivhaus standards
