Norman Haste played key role in winning 拢2bn Hinkley job

Laing O鈥橰ourke鈥檚 head of new nuclear, who played a key role in the firm winning the 拢2bn Hinkley civils package, Norman Haste, has retired from the firm.

Haste returned to Laing O鈥橰ourke UK after three years heading up the firm鈥檚 work in the Middle East to play a key role in winning the Hinkley Point civils package.

He was project director on the construction of Sizewell B nuclear plant in the eighties and worked on the Severn Bridge crossing.

Roger Robinson has now taken over as head of the firm鈥檚 new nuclear operations while retaining his role as chief executive of Laing O鈥橰ourke鈥檚 Europe Hub.
