Morgan Sindall company will upgrade Belfast's sewerage system in joint venture with Belfast contractor Farrans
Morgan Sindall's infrastructure services provider Morgan Est in a joint venture with Belfast-based contractor Farrans has been awarded the Stormwater Management Works contract.
The three-year, 拢91.8 million scheme will upgrade Belfast's sewerage system for Northern Ireland Water Service.
Under the terms of the deal, worth approximately 拢61.5 million to Morgan Est, the companies will design, build, test and commission a 9.4km tunnel under the city centre to the Duncrue Wastewater Treatment Works.
The contract also involves the construction of a terminal pumping station. Morgan Est is due to start work on the project this month
