McLaren restructures its London business with two new bosses replacing London managing director Graham Sturge
McLaren construction has restructured its London business with two new bosses replacing London managing director Graham Sturge who is taking time out from the firm for personal reasons.
The contractor鈥檚 London regional business will now be run by Steve Hart, as regional managing director and David Miller, as regional director.
Phil Pringle, managing director of McLaren Construction said the structural changes would help McLaren 鈥渞emain controlled and focussed on our future business plans鈥�.
He added: 鈥淢cLaren Construction has always prided itself on its ability to embrace change and providing forward thinking solutions and support for our valued customers.
Kevin Taylor, chair of McLaren (pictured), said the firm鈥檚 status as a privately owned business allowed it to 鈥渋mplement new initiatives promptly鈥� to 鈥渁ccommodate the ever changing needs of our customers and economic market place鈥�.
In April this year McLaren reported a near doubling of its pre-tax profit after it sold its property business.
The firm reported a pre-tax profit of 拢11.7m in the year to 31 July 2013, up from 拢6m in the previous year, driven largely by a 拢6m profit from the sale of its McLaren Property business in December 2012.
The restructure is one of a spate of management changes at top contractors in recent months including Morgan Sindall鈥檚 managing director Graham Shennan exiting this week; Sir Robert McAlpine鈥檚 London boss Vince Corrigan鈥檚 impending departure, announced earlier this month; and Vinci Construction UK鈥檚 management restructure in early October.
