Ian Bayman to lead Battersea Power Station consultant’s north-west operations

Consultant McBains has nabbed a new director to head up its expanding Manchester business.

Ian Bayman, who joins from Arcus Consulting, is set to lead a push for growth in the company’s operations in the region.

Projects the firm has worked on in the North-west include regional office restructuring and fit-outs for RBS, major projects for BAE at Barrow in Furness including a new training centre for 5,000 apprentices and Britvic Drink production facilities. 

Nationally, the consultant’s current jobs include providing project monitoring services to a consortium of funders for phases 1, 2 and 3 of Battersea Power Station.

The company has also recently been appointed by the Department of Work and Pensions to fit-out nine job centres.

The appointment comes as the firm moves from Spinningfields to Piccadilly to accommodate its expanding regional workforce, with the firm currently looking to hire to bolster its teams of quantity and building surveyors, project monitors and engineers in the North-west.
