Infrastructure contractor has won secured contract renewals and new work in the public and regulated sectors
Infrastructure contractor May Gurney will report a record forward order book of 拢1.7bn when it announces results for the year ended 31 March.
In a pre-close trading statement the firm said it would report results in line with previous expectations, in net cash generation of 拢27m.
The firm, which concentrates on public and regulated sectors, has secured a number of large frameworks, contract renewals and extensions over the past year, which it said provided it with 鈥渃ontinued visibility of earnings.鈥�
Key wins include a bundled services joint venture with Torbay council worth up to 拢130m over 10 years, Lambeth council's 黑洞社区 Schools for the Future (BSF) programme worth up to 拢185m over fiveyears, and long-term contracts with South West Water worth up to 拢170m over up to 10 years.
Philip Fellowes-Prynne, chief executive of May Gurney, said: "The essential nature of what we do and our collaborative approach has resulted in more than 拢1.1bn in renewals, contract extensions and new business this year - all under long-term contracts - and their successful mobilisation will be a focus in the coming year.
"Our combination of continued financial strength and visibility of future earnings means that we are well positioned for the future."
The company's preliminary results will be announced on 2 June 2010.
