Balfour Beatty subsidiary appointed on local improvement finance trust (LIFT) scheme

Contractor Mansell, a subsidiary of Balfour Beatty, has won construction work worth 拢8m as part of a Leicester local improvement finance trust (LIFT) scheme.

The group will design and construct two health centres in the city: Belgrave Health Centre in Brandon Street and De Montfort University Health Centre in Grassmere Street.

The 2,396m2 Belgrave Health Centre, worth 拢4.8m, will offer integrated primary care services to 30,000 people. The centre will include several GP practices, a pharmacist, district nurses and community matrons.

The 拢3.3m De Montfort University Health Centre will be three storeys high, with a gross internal floor area of 1,478m2.
