A series of sports 鈥榩ods鈥� have opened to the public in the Lincolnshire town of Scunthorpe.

The leisure facilities designed by S&P provide swimming pools, a sports hall, fitness studios and function rooms.

The development for North Lincolnshire council was project managed by Arcadis, with Buro Happold providing structural engineering consultancy.

Councillor John Briggs, deputy leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: 鈥淚鈥檓 very pleased that The Pods is now fully open to the public. The facilities are excellent and must be seen to appreciate.

鈥淲hen the doors opened to the public, it鈥檚 been very busy and received some very positive comments about the facilities.鈥�
