Firm wins contract to build a £22m radiotherapy centre for the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
Lend Lease has won the contract to build the £22m radiotherapy centre for the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
The new two-storey building, based at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, will provide radiotherapy treatment for Worcestershire’s cancer patients
Lend Lease designed and built the original 452 bed hospital on a greenfield site adjacent to Worcester Royal Infirmary’s Newtown site and it opened for patients in May 2002.
Lend Lease continues to provide the estate management services to the hospital via its contract with Worcester Hospital SPC Limited who are the Trust’s PFI partner.
The centre is expected to open to patients at the end of 2014.
