Developer seeks planning permission for 985-home scheme at former Kodak plant site
Developer Land Securities has submitted plans for a 985-home scheme at the former Kodak production plant site in Harrow, London.
Land Securities has applied to the London Borough of Harrow for outline planning permission for the project, which also includes 380,000ft虏 of space for office and business units.
The land became available after Kodak made the transition to digital media and was left with surplus buildings.
Colette O鈥橲hea, head of development for the London portfolio at Land Securities, said: 鈥淲e are delighted to announce the submission of the Harrow View outline planning application.
鈥淚t has the potential to bring increased dynamism and energy to this part of the borough, while providing the public green space and amenities we know the local community wants.鈥
Brian McGowan, site manufacturing manager at Kodak, said: 鈥淜odak has transformed into a successful digital company and as a result of this transition, a number of buildings have been demolished and there will be further consolidation of our site.
