拢60m scheme in Manchester due to open later this year
Laing O鈥橰ourke has completed the initial phase of the new 拢60m Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre at the University of Manchester.
The 8,400 m虏 centre, designed by Walkie Talkie architect Rafael Vinoly and funded by a consortium including the European Regional Development Fund and headed by Abu Dhabi-based renewable energy group Masdar, was built under the university鈥檚 construction partnering framework.
It is currently being fitted out with laboratory space and is expected to open later this year.
Laing O鈥橰ourke has begun work on another deal let under the framework, a 拢105m scheme to build the Henry Royce Institute and which is set for completion next year.
