Contractor appointed to two bands covering high and low value projects across England
Kier has been awarded a number of places on the Education and Skills Funding Agency鈥檚 (ESFA) latest 拢8bn four-year construction framework.
The new framework is divided into three value bands, with the contractor being appointed on the two bands that it elected to bid for, covering high-value projects worth more than 拢12.5m in lots covering the north and south of England, as well as low-value projects up to 拢4.5m, comprising 12 regional lots across England.
The ESFA framework replaces the ESFA鈥檚 previous National and Regional Contractors Framework.
Kier has completed approximately 拢5bn of education projects in the past 10 years, with recent deal including the 拢25m Charter School project in East Dulwich and a 拢23m scheme to build a new 1,200-place school in Sheffield.
Haydn Mursell, the firm鈥檚 chief executive, said the award 鈥漝emonstrates the strength of our relationship with the Education and Skills Funding Agency and maintains our leading position in the education sector鈥.
Last month Kier鈥檚 Scottish construction arm was named as one of four supply chain partners on the new 拢160m Aberdeenshire Council Housing Framework.
