Kier and Circle Housing choose not to renew 拢350m deal which expires in April

Kier and Circle Housing have ended their contract to deliver responsible repairs and maintenance for projects in the central region.

The contract, which was due to expire in April 2015, was designed to improve Circle Housing鈥檚 repairs and maintenance service in London.

Circle Housing has started allocating work to other contractors. In a statement David Mawson, managing director of Kier鈥檚 housing maintenance, said: 鈥淜ier will continue to deliver planned maintenance services for Circle Housing鈥檚 central region, but we agree that it鈥檚 preferable for both parties, if Circle Housing takes responsive repairs back, in order to review the best method of operational delivery.鈥

Kire previously replaced Morrison on Circle鈥檚 central region contract in a 拢350m deal in 2013.

Circle Housing chief executive Mark Rogers said: 鈥淲e have reached mutual agreement with Kier, allowing us to move on and focus on improving the repairs service we deliver to our customers.

鈥淩estoring customer satisfaction back to our historically high levels continues to be our main priority as a business.鈥
