Specialist fit-out arm of Real Office takes over projects from collapsed Welconstruct and saves 16 jobs
ISIS Projects, the specialist fit-out arm of AIM-listed Real Office Group, has expanded into Birmingham and saved 16 jobs at collapsed West Midlands fit-out group Welconstruct.
Eight former Welconstruct staff will work at the new Birmingham office and another eight will boost numbers to 20 at ISIS' London office.
ISIS will also take on some of Welconstruct's projects, including an 80,000 sq ft office building refurbishment for Staffordshire County Council and a major infrastructure refurbishment for Shell Pensions Trust in Milton Keynes.
Roger Smee, chairman of Real Office Group, said: 鈥淭he Birmingham market is a tough nut to crack. The new team in Birmingham provides an excellent platform for growth in the region. We believe that the mix of extensive local contacts and proven track record will secure a strong pipeline of further business going forward. We anticipate the Birmingham office's 2010 revenues to be in excess of 拢12m.鈥
Welconstruct went under last month after struggling with mounting debts. The collapse reportedly left dozens of contractors out of pocket by up to 拢170,000.
