Framework aims to speed up the construction of residential and mixed-use developments on public sector land
Interserve has won a place on the Homes and Communities Agency鈥檚 拢8bn Delivery Partner Panel 3 (DPP3) framework.
The four-year framework is divided into regional lots and Interserve 鈥 a new entrant into this 鈥 has been appointed to all five.
It aims to accelerate the construction of residential and mixed-use developments on public sector land as part of the UK government鈥檚 plan to increase housing provision through private sector involvement.
As part of the framework, public sector bodies including central government and local authorities, will be able to seek advice from Interserve at the earliest stages of a project, subsequently working closely with delivery panel members to develop housing-led sites and infrastructure.
Gordon Kew, managing director at Interserve, said: 鈥淥ur success in winning a place on this framework highlights our ability to deliver complex projects for our customers.鈥
The delivery partner panel has been in use for the last six years, enabling the delivery of 45,000 homes on 250 sites.
The estimated spend for the new framework has doubled to 拢8bn from an original 拢4bn, but Interserve claimed this is because the Homes and Communities Agency is taking more responsibility for mixed-use tenure schemes and bringing in more bodies to use its preferred list.
It is geared at attracting developments ranging from 50 to 500 units
