Consortium named preferred bidder for scheme in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland

An Interserve consortium has been named preferred bidder for a 拢300m PFI hospital scheme in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland.

Interserve will invest 拢7.8m, representing a 31.5% stake in the 70,000m2 scheme, and provide facilities management services worth 拢75m over a 30-year period.

The joint venture also includes FCC Construction SA, P Elliott & Co and Allied Irish Bank. Completion is planned for 2012.

Adrian Ringrose, chief executive of Interserve, said: 鈥淭he project will be our fifth major health PFI and combines our expertise in this sector with our longstanding presence in Northern Ireland, where we already provide services in three PFI schools, shall shortly be doing so in another and have been named preferred bidder for two more.鈥
