Outline planning permission was granted in 2019 and a reserved matters application approved in 2021 for the first phase of infrastructure work.

In April, the Network Rail and Homes England partnership appointed property agents JLL to find a partner for the brownfield regeneration.

The masterplan for the site was developed by Allies and Morrison, the architecture firm that designed the masterplan for the King鈥檚 Cross Central redevelopment.

The contract for the development partnership will run for 10 years from October 2023. Firms have until 25 August to bid.
