Aecom, Arup and Mott MacDonald among firms working on northern section of £33bn project
HS2 has appointed six firms, including Aecom, Arup and Mott MacDonald, to do engineering and environmental consultancy work on the second phase of the £33bn project.
The firms will provide services on the Y-section of the line which will connect the high speed London to Birmingham line to Manchester and Leeds.
Engineering services will be provided by Aecom, Hyder Consulting, Jacobs Engineering and Mott MacDonald.
Environmental services will be provided by Arup, Mott MacDonald and a joint venture between consultants Temple and RSK.
The Y-line forms the second phase of the £33bn project. Preparation for a hybrid bill for the London to Birmingham section of the route is already underway.
