Singapore鈥檚 answer to setting green standards in the built environment
What is it?
Singapore is devoted to building a sustainable society and the SGP (Singapore Green Plan) 2012 is the country's code for sustainable buildings prepared by the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources.It addesses clean air, clean water and clean land. The government has encourages companies to seek ISO 14001 Certification as participants in the SGP 2012 plan.
The code has ruled out diesel fuel in factories and industry use, and is testing out alternative renewable energy resources, mainly hydrogen fuel and solar energy.
