Firm announces announces or confirms five successes including 拢23m low-carbon scheme in east London
Galliford Try has won 拢100m worth of affordable housing contracts, the firm has announced.
The contractor鈥檚 selection has been confirmed on low carbon exemplar scheme Gallions Quarter development in east London, following its selection as preferred developer in July last year.
The 拢23m contract will see Galliford Try construct 170 homes in the second phase of the 700-home development, which also includes commercial and retail elements and is part of a wider regeneration led by the London Development Agency.
Also in the east of the capital, the 拢52m redevelopment of the old St Clement鈥檚 hospital site in Mile End, following approval by Mayor Boris Johnson.
The scheme, for a minimum of 223 homes, includes provision of 21 homes to be granted to London鈥檚 first Community Land Trust, as well as a further 54 affordable homes.
Other new work includes Galliford Try鈥檚 selection as preferred bidder for two 拢12m projects led by Festival Housing Association - a new 101-apartment retirement village in Malvern, Worcestershire, and a 165-home scheme for Northumberland County Council across two sites at Blyth and South Newsham.
Finally, the Homes and Communities Agency has confirmed Galliford Try as the successful bidder for the regeneration of Blackberry Hill Hospital in Bristol.
