Contractor picks up 拢46m scheme at Yarborough Estate in Grimsby and 拢25m mixed-use scheme in East London
Contractor Galliford Try has won 拢71m of regeneration work, it announced today.
The company has been appointed by Shoreline Housing Partnership as development partner on a 拢46m regeneration scheme at the Yarborough Estate in Grimsby. It has also won a 拢25m deal to deliver a mixed-use scheme in East London for East Thames Housing group.
Greg Fitzgerald, chief executive of Galliford Try, said: 鈥淭he presence we established as a local housebuilder in Grimsby with the acquisition of Chartdale Homes last year was key to securing the Yardborough award.鈥�
The redevelopment of the Yarborough Estate will involve 440 housing units, approximately 40% of which will be social housing. There are also proposals for a new medical centre and primary school.
The East Thames Housing Group scheme, in Payne Road, will involve 158 mixed tenure residential units.
