The Olympic Delivery Authority has put four consortiums on a shortlist to be the Games delivery partner.
The winner will work with the ODA to manage the Olympic Park build programme and will be expected to set aside more than 300 personnel for the next seven years at least.
As predicted by ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø last week, the shortlist is made up of Bechtel, CLM (CH2M Hill International, Laing O'Rourke, Mace, Davis Langdon), G3 (Amec, Balfour Beatty, Jacobs, Gleeds, Faithful + Gould) and Legacy (Bovis Lend Lease, Capita Symonds and Kellogg Brown & Root, Franklin + Andrews). This means that the Parsons Brinckerhoff team, consisting of Taylor Woodrow and EC Harris, has lost out.
David Higgins, chief executive of the Olympic Delivery Authority, said: "This is a first-class shortlist from a strong field. We will continue the rigorous scrutiny of applications as we now move to the next stage. I am confident that the competitive dialogue procurement process will help ensure we make the right appointment for this critical role."
The ODA is procuring the delivery partner through European procurement legislation that allows "competitive dialogue" with firms, allowing the ODA to enter into more detailed discussions at the shortlisting stage, which will begin soon.
The final appointment will be made during the summer following a period of competitive tendering by the four consortiums.
