This is the latest image of the proposed 拢500m Crossrail station at Canary Wharf, designed by Foster and Partners.
If given the go-ahead, the Isle of Dogs station will jut out into the water and include a shopping centre, restaurants and cafes.
Plans include a public park and water features on the roof plus walkways to Poplar in the north and the Isle of Dogs in the south.
The 拢16bn Crossrail project, which is expected to open in 2011, will run from Maidenhead and Heathrow in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east.
