Cleverly (pictured) was at Arcadis since 2014, after the Dutch consultant snapped up EC Harris.
Before the merger, Cleverly, a quantity surveyor by trade, had spent five years at EC Harris heading up its higher education arm.
Prior to joining EC Harris, Cleverly spent 10 years at Davis Langdon before that firm was bought by Aecom.
Edel Christie, managing director of buildings at Arcadis, has drafted in Andy Matthews to head up its commercial developers business while the search for Cleverly鈥檚 permanent replacement continues.
Matthews, who is a partner at Arcadis, currently heads up the consultant鈥檚 UK cost management operations.
