Firms have until 22 January to register interest

Contractors have been put on notice for a £2.5bn Ministry of Justice framework running over five years.

The MoJ is looking to appoint contractors to three frameworks based on three anticipated project value bands between up to £30m.

There is also a possibility of an additional £1bn spend if the three frameworks up for grabs are extended by two years.

The three frameworks could run up to seven years

Framework A is divided into four regional lots for projects with an individual value of up to £5m, with the total value expected to be £1.12bn over five years.

Framework B will also be divided onto four regional lots and can be used on projects valued between £5m and £10m, with the anticipated total value expected to be £750m.

A firm can only occupy a maximum of two positions across two separate lots within Framework B.

Framework C consists of one national lot for projects valued between £10m and £30m and is due to be worth a total of £625m in total. 

Each lot will have one preferred supplier and two reserve suppliers.

Six firms will be shortlisted for each of the Framework A lots, 10 for each of the Framework B lots and 16 for the sole lot on Framework C.
