Metsä Wood’s Finnframe flooring system has been updated to improve its acoustic and thermal performance
The system consists of engineered joists and the company’s Kerto S and Kerto Q panel products combined with a bespoke design service. Metsä Wood says Finnframe enables housebuilders and developers to exceed 43dB through its key elements, including 22mm P5 chipboard, 220mm deep Finnframe floor, 100mm insulation between joists and 15mm wallboard.
Metsä Wood has also introduced Kerto Q Rim Board for use in timber frame structures. Kerto Q is created using 27mm, 30mm or 33mm Kerto Q with 39mm and 45mm Kerto S and is available in depths to match Finnjoists of 200mm, 220mm, 240mm and 300mm.
