Faithful+Gould has landed a role on the University of Salford鈥檚 new 拢45m engineering building.

The consultant will act as NEC project managers and cost advisors for the design and build project.

The building is the first project to be delivered as part of the university and Salford City Council鈥檚 joint 拢800m masterplan.

The university and 5 Plus Architects unveiled the masterplan at MIPIM in March.

Dan Cadman, regional director of SNC-Lavalin鈥檚 Faithful+Gould business, said: 鈥淭he new masterplan will set the benchmark for future development and this project will act as a best practice model for collaboration, social value and early contractor involvement, both for future developments at Salford and other projects in the wider higher education sector.鈥

SNC-Lavalin acquired Faithful+Gould, as part of WS Atkins, on July 3, 2017.
