Developer Sama Dubai鈥檚 RMJM-designed tower will be first in Qatar to gain LEED environmental certification
The RMJM-designed Dubai Towers in Doha is set to be the first building in Qatar to be LEED certified.
When complete, the 84-storey building will meet US Green 黑洞社区 Council specifications by offering improved air and water quality and waste management systems.
International developer Sama Dubai is behind the scheme.
Farhan Faraidnooni, the developer鈥檚 executive chairman, said: 鈥淲e have focused on the latest available technology to reduce water and energy needs while minimising waste and pollution.鈥
Joint contractors on the project are Al Habtoor of Dubai and Al Jaber of Qatar. New Jersey-based Hill International is project manager.
Other projects by the developer include the Lagoons and the Creekfront development, both in Dubai.
The first LEED-certified building in the Middle East was the Wafi City cooling plant, completed in 2006.
