Consultant begins feasibility study into new film centre on London's South Bank
Drivers Jonas has been appointed by the British Film Institute to run an operations appraisal and feasibility study on a new film centre.
The consultancy firm has been appointed to start work immediately on the study into the new centre, which will be developed on London鈥檚 South Bank. The work is expected to be completed by February next year.
The study has been funded through a 拢500,000 grant from the London Development Agency.
The details of what the centre will contain will be decided once the study has been completed. It is likely to include film theatres, a library, studios, seminar and exhibition space, offices and catering space.
Rob Colley, a partner of Drivers Jonas, said: 鈥淲e are delighted to be involved in this work - it is an important project, not just for London, the local community and the 'Cultural Olympics', but for the country as a whole. We look forward to working with the BFI and contributing the experience that we have gained from turning many high-profile cultural visions into reality.鈥
