Relocation follows the consultants’ merger last autumn
Global construction consultancy Davis Langdon today announced that it has moved into AECOM’s Edinburgh headquarters at in Canonmills at 1 Tanfield.
The move formally completes the companies’ merger, which took place in August 2010.
It brings Davis Langdon’s programme, cost and consultancy management services under the same roof as AECOM’s specialists in building engineering, environment, water and transportation.
The Scottish arms of the two firms are working together on a number of projects, among them Kilmarnock College and the recently completed Peace Bridge in Londonderry/Derry, Northern Ireland.
Separately, AECOM was recently appointed to undertake the design check of the new Forth Replacement Bridge, while Davis Langdon completed work on the National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh and the University of Aberdeen’s New Library.
Sam MacKenzie, head of Scotland for Davis Langdon, said of the firm’s relocation: “This is an exciting development in the ongoing evolution of Davis Langdon and AECOM. By basing ourselves in the same building, we will be able to provide our clients with an even higher level of integrated services which we have been offering since the merger of our two organisations last autumn.â€
