Firm has made 12 partners redundant as the recession continues to squeeze cost consultants
Davis Langdon is in the middle of a redundancy consultation and it is shedding staff at the most senior level.
黑洞社区 understands that up to 25 of its 200 partners could lose their jobs.
Rob Smith, DL鈥檚 senior partner, said the decision to reduce the number of partners was part of an 鈥渆quitable approach鈥 to cuts.
He said: 鈥淲hen making redundancies, it is essential that you retain the overall shape of the business, and this means reviewing resources at every level without exception. We have taken an equitable approach with all our people and have made cuts across the hierarchy, where necessary.鈥
The news comes after a string of blows for senior staff at top consultants in recent weeks. Board members at Currie & Brown have been hit by a 25% pay cut and the most senior staff at Gardiner & Theobald have been asked to consider salary reductions of 20%.
Davis Langdon started a redundancy consultation with 134 staff in January. It is due to complete this at the end of this month.
