Carole O鈥橬eil to take helm next month
Cundall has appointed Carole O鈥橬eil as its new global managing partner and will take up the role from the beginning of next month.
She will take over from Tom谩s Neeson, who is set to become chair of Cundall鈥檚 Partners after eight years at the helm.
O鈥橬eil joined the engineering consultancy in 2007, which is based in Newcastle, and has served on its management board for more than a decade.
Last November, she was named chartered director of the year for Yorkshire and the North East by the Institute of Directors.
Neeson said O鈥橬eil鈥檚 been 鈥渋ntegral to the growth and success of Cundall鈥 during his tenure.
O鈥橬eil added: 鈥淚 hope that my time as managing partner of Cundall will be a reflection of my commitment to making our practice one that the next generation will be proud of.鈥
Cundall was set up in 1976 and employs 1,000 staff across 11 countries. In its last set of results for the year to June 2021, the firm, which trades as Cundall Johnston & Partners, saw turnover slip 2% to 拢68m but operating profit was up from 拢7.9m to 拢8.8m.
