The Construction Products Association has launched a guide to domestic low carbon refurbishment to help make the job of improving the energy performance of existing housing easier.
Aimed at householders, builders and policymakers the publication tackles the subject from first principles before works starts.
Following sections tackle improving building elements including floors, walls, windows, roofs, heating and hot water systems.
Finally the guide includes case studies demonstrating improvements ranging from simple upgrades through to root and branch refurbishments.
