Hampshire retirement development housed in Grade 1 listed manor house
Consultant ChandlerKBS has completed work as cost manager on the 拢20m Grove Place in Romsey, Hampshire.
The retirement development is set within 27 acres of landscaped grounds.
The project included the restoration of an existing Grade 1 listed manor house.
The development provides a mix of apartments and bungalows, communal facilities including a restaurant, bar, lounge, snooker room, business centre and gym.
Tony Murley, development business manager at Renaissance Lifecare who operate the facility, said: 鈥淭he project team, of which ChandlerKBS was an inherent part, responded extremely well to the triple challenge of the restoration of the manor, the redevelopment of a substantial existing building and a mirror image brand new build to provide a high quality scheme whilst staying sympathetic to the setting of the listed building.鈥�
