Joint consortium consisting of Carillion, Allies & Morrison and Igloo has been chosen to develop the 拢400m centre
The media centre for the 2012 Olympic Games is to be built by Carillion, Allies & Morrison, and Igloo, it has emerged.
It is understood that the joint venture has been selected as the winning consortium to develop the 拢400m centre ahead of a team led by Bouygues, Hopkins and Development Securities.
The 1.3m sq ft building will house the world鈥檚 media for the 2012 Olympic Games. It is anticipated it will become a high-tech media hub after the Games ends.
An ODA spokesperson would not confirm the Carillion team had been appointed and said: 鈥淭he procurement has not yet concluded and we expect to make an announcement on the contract in the coming weeks.鈥
