Scheme designed by Penoyre & Prasad 

Brunel University is looking for a contractor to build a £50m Learning and Teaching Centre at its campus in Uxbridge, west London.

The seven-storey building has been developed by the university’s design team, including Penoyre & Prasad Architects and engineer BDP.

Penoyre & Prasad beat architects including O’Donnell + Tuomey, Hawkins Brown and Wilkinson Eyre to nab the job.

The design team will not be novated to the design and build contractor but the winning firm is expected to work with Penoyre & Prasad to complete the design elements.

Contractors have until 9 April to in becoming one of the five that will be shortlisted for the deal.

Brunel University expects the construction contract to last for two months, with completion due by September 2021.
